Queensland Council of Unions is the peak union body in Queensland. It is comprised of 26 affiliated unions, representing over 370,000 union members.
The Queensland Council of Unions has two vacant positions listed below.
Both represent an exciting opportunity to make a positive and lasting contribution to the lives of working Queenslanders and their communities.
As well as the opportunities outlined in these job advertisements, the QCU is also looking to appoint a Women’s Officer.
The successful candidate for one of the positions listed below will assume this role.
The Women’s Officer will work with the QCU Women’s Committee and be responsible for ensuring the plans, projects and campaigns of the committee are implemented. They will also liaise with the Women’s Committee at the Australian Council of Trade Unions. The Women’s officer will need a comprehensive understanding of issues impacting women in the workforce and more broadly in the community, as well as a thorough understanding of how trade union campaigning and education programs can make a difference to the lives of women.
The role of Women’s Officer may be performed by the successful candidate for either of the advertised positions.
